The Answer to that question has been a major part of my life's mission.

In my early twenties I was searching for that answer because I wanted to know for myself so I could experience it.

In my mid twenties I was searching for that answer because I found it for myself but didn't exactly know how to transfer it to other people.

The first reason, and the main reason I believe I had a head- start on success, was my ability to Dream Big!

A wise man once said "you will never live life beyond your wildest expectations until you first have some wild expectations.

When we're children, we have an amazing ability to dream. I was talking to Johnny Wimbrey last week (just before he headed out on a last minute vacation to Cancun) about this exact subject and he made an interesting point.

Think about this...

When you ask a child what they're going to be when they grow up, they never say they're going to "TRY" to be a millionaire, or "TRY" to be an astronaut, or "TRY" to be a professional athlete. No, they have their dream and that's what they're going to be, period!

Unfortunately, as we get older, people begin to tell them that they're being unrealistic they should aspire to be something that they can accomplish more easily. For many children, society steals their dream.

Just like how a child lowers their level of thinking because of "practicality", most people lower their level of thinking because they've give up. They've made goals, like getting out of debt, instead of having goals like owning their own multi-million dollar home...Puny goals like having enough money to live on the interest created from their investments.

It's no wonder that children stop looking up to their parents at a certain point of their life. It's a sad fact, but for most families this is true...when a child is 6 years old, their parents are their hero's. But when they're about 16, the child wonders what happened to them. They see that their parents have gone from "Grown-Ups" to Given-Ups."

As parents we have such an opportunity to instill motivation, encouragement, empowerment, support, goal setting, ambition in our children from birth and throughout life. But to many parents fall short, because they never grew up like that themself. The best advice we can give our children is "You can be anything you want to be", the sky is the limit! Dream the impossible dream!

It's also no surprise that most young adults end up giving upon their dreams...they're simply following the examples of their parents.

As I look back at myself and so many others that I've been able to assist in accomplishing success, a character trait that is common among us all is our ability to dream big dreams. It's the ability to break out of the common thinking that you may have gotten stuck in and begin to dream about huge possibilities for your life.

I've found that success is largely dependent on desire. A burning desire is what one must have in your gut to do what is necessary to succeed. To harness your passion, your drive, your discipline, and your determination, you must have a burning desire.

The formula for creating that desire is through dreams...

Dreams are the fuel that fire desire!

Dreams are the fuel that get you back on your feet again when you've been knocked down. Dreams are the fuel that give you the motivation you need to put in that extra mile. Dreams are the fuel that provide the sheer will power that allows you to say "I Can, I Will, I Must!"

Dreams give us power, they allow us to stand out above the crowd, and they are an essential element in leadership. Dreams provide inspiration to yourself and others when they 're shared with enthusiasm and faith.
