"Everybody wants to be somebody, nobody wants to
grow." - Johann W. von Goethe
Growth/ personal-development-growth
No, we don't have a big hang up on Goethe but we do have
admiration for those who endure through the ages. Goethe
(pronounced ger-ta) was born in 1749, in Germany, and is
considered to be one of the greatest literary thinkers to
ever put pen to parchment. But when studied in depth, we
find it's the concept of growth that he was about.
It has been said that growth provides the only measure
for the existence of life, yet tumors grow and seek to
snuff out the life of their host. Better, then, to think of
this process we call growth as more than a measure. In the
course of growing our businesses, the term "maturity" might
be a better fit. Do you ever think of the maturity of your
business? Are you maturing as you grow?
Here at Empowerism we seek to empower our members with
forward leaning attitudes. Even in failure it's much better
to have failed going forward than to have not tried at all.
Growth and maturity come from trying, making a forward
leaning effort. Those who fail to try, simply fail. But when
we make an effort to better ourselves, to better our outlook,
we will better our financial future. That's the only way it
can happen.
Self help, business growth, customer relationships, personal success
In summary, growth is important but it needs the proper
direction to achieve its magic. It needs a winning game plan
in order to be beneficial to long term success. To grow, we
need WRITTEN GOALS. More on that later. . .
Or as Goethe put it,
"A distracted existence leads us to no goal."
