Every person is unique and has a distinct self for the others around. The potency and Achilles' heel of an individual decide the course of our gestures and actions. The true and the real self of an individual is not what we show or portray to others. The individual’s true self guides and watches the emotions, deeds, actions, words and movement but only unreceptively. The inner self of the personage acts as the philosopher and the mentor of the hidden self of the person.

An individual has to strive every moment to make his or her real self-come out and to make the person come face to face with the person. Self-awareness, self-control and self-esteem are the key phrases, which aids in the process of realizing the exact worth of an individual.

To make the process of the self-development go fast one needs to realize oneself, understands his or her dreams as dreams make or mar the personality of an individual. Inner voice of an individual guides at every step and monitors all our actions, and at times prompts us, so as to make one aware of the pros and cons of the action or the movement of an individual. The inner voice of the personage makes him conscious of all the shortcomings. For instance if one person gets easily annoyed and starts fuming the person must question the inner self what make the person go mad on matters which are of no or little concern to him. The voice of the inner self is not audible, one needs to concentrate and allow the hidden self of an individual to thrive.

The real and the hidden self of individual can be strengthened and developed by meditation, yoga, long walks and the breathing therapies. During the process of meditation the person tries to excel over his mind and become one with the soul. This becoming one with the soul and the spirit the individual works towards the real goals and ambitions of his life. Meditation makes the inner voice audible and this enables the person to unfold the great within. To make an individual have tranquility of mind in this hurl-burly city life the individual needs time to relax and refresh which is even facilitated by meditation.

Man must become strong and accept the criticism as they come, as the critics are the great mentors of the individuals. As man exists in the society, which is nothing more than the hub of many individuals, so it is not necessary that all the actions of the individuals are liked and appreciated by the other individuals as well. This difference in opinion makes a person susceptible to the criticism, which an individual should take as a challenge or look out for opportunities in it. These changes in the perception make the individual develop a better self and realize and unfold the great within.

In the present competitive world the individuals are not free from the negative feelings, such as of jealousy, hatred, sloth, gluttony and envy. This makes the development of the self-individuals hamper.


Self-awareness is necessary for the real development of the inner self. The process of truly and correctly analyzing the real worth of the people can realize the great within of the person. Self-awareness makes the person the entire more confidants and self-assured, but self-consciousness makes the person at time become recluse and diffident.

For the real development of the self one must exercise self-control to avoid the negative feelings develop in the mind and heart. The optimistic and positive outlook make the person come one to one with the inner self and enables in the enfoldment of the great within of the person for his own betterment and at large of the society.
