Since I am a member of Success University "In Training" I took the availability of this article to show you what is possible with the Power Of Knowledge!
As we were traveling around the globe on the 2007 Success University World Tour, we met hundreds of incredible people. It was very apparent Success University has Students around the world who have been positively impacted by the education and opportunity we offer.
While visiting each country we witnessed leadership in every aspect. We saw it from the way we were greeted at each event, the way each event was meticulously organized, how well all the affiliates had been trained, and the genuine excitement and enthusiasm for Success University from everyone involved. Who is responsible for this? Well, the acknowledgement goes to You... Each one of these students has come to us as a direct result of our leaders in the field.
At each location we spent a portion of the time training on 5 Qualities of Leadership. As I offered each of the following qualities, it was clear they were all very present in the room.
Vision: To be successful in any area of life requires great vision. To be a Leader requires more than that. Leaders have a vision that not only drives them to success, but drives the people around them. To have a vision so great that it not only inspires you, but also those around you, is a sign of a Leader.
Lead By Example: A true leader is one who leads by example. A leader not only talks the talk, but walks the walk...every step of the way. A leader will blaze the trail, not just sending others ahead to-do the work and then take the credit. People respect those who have "Been there, done that". People want to work with someone who has set the example. This is what attracts people to a Leader.
Discipline: Leaders don't take their foot of the gas pedal on a good day, nor give up on a bad day. They follow their plan of action no matter what. We all have our ups and downs: Leaders are those who move forward in spite of what's happening around them...good or bad. As Jim Rohn would say, our path in life is not determined by where the wind may lead us, but rather by the set of our sail.
Focus: We all have distractions in our life. We are bombarded each day with messages, emails, and offers that want to take our attention from what we are doing and what we are focused on. A leader is one with a laser sharp focus that doesn't allow those distractions to move them from their target. Leaders have a powerful focus that can not be shaken.
Creating Success in Others:.. To become a successful person in life is a great accomplishment. However, it is my belief that alone does not make you a "Leader". A leader is someone who creates success not only in their own life, but also the lives of people around them. Zig Ziglar said it best, "You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."
Success University is comprised of and led by amazing leaders with great talent. Each day we are developing new leadership around the world. We are excited to have you as part of our team and we look forward to seeing your development as one of our leaders.
